One of the MF Books promotion assistants also shared a message in English for international fans, confirming that this will be a sequel TV anime for Classroom of the Elite:
The original light novel is written by Kinugasa Shogo and drawn by Tomose Shunsaku. It ran from May 2015 until September 2019, while Year 2 began in January 2020 and is still ongoing. Seven Seas publishes both the light novel and manga in English, and they describe the story:
Students of the prestigious Tokyo Metropolitan Advanced Nurturing High School are given remarkable freedom—if they can win, barter, or save enough points to work their way up the ranks! Ayanokoji Kiyotaka has landed at the bottom in the scorned Class D, where he meets Horikita Suzune, who’s determined to rise up the ladder to Class A. Can they beat the system in a school where cutthroat competition is the name of the game?
The TV anime sequel to Classroom of the Elite is already trending online, and we will have to wait for March 6 to get some additional details.
