Crunchyroll has announced that their annual Crunchyroll Anime Awards will have a live event in Japan in 2023. It is meant to bring together the studios, creators and international talent behind the community’s favorite series, and it will be the company’s 7th year hosting the awards.
They announced that it will be a premier event full of fans, celebrities, creators, musicians, performances and more in a style that is as unique as the artform of anime. The Crunchyroll Anime Awards 2023 live ceremony will be held on Saturday, March 4, 2023 at the Grand Prince Hotel New Takanawa in Tokyo. They will work with Sony Music Solutions (part of Sony Music Entertainment (Japan) Inc.) to execute the event, which will also be streamed on Crunchyroll’s social media channels.

According to Crunchyroll, a record 16.9 million votes were cast last year. Attack on Titan The Final Season Part 1 was voted Anime of the Year. Ranking of Kings’ Bojji was voted Best Boy, with JUJUTSU KAISEN’s Nobara Kugisaki as Best Girl. You can check out the full list of winners.
