Besides the 7th season coming in May, the My Hero Academia: You’re Next movie is set for August 2, 2024. It will be another original story supervised by the author Kohei Horikoshi, and the story will take place in a collapsed society. A new card game-focused special episode titled My Hero Academia: UA Heroes Battle was also released in October.

My Hero Academia anime is based on the manga series by Kohei Horikoshi, which has been serialized in the Weekly Shonen Jump since 2014. The manga received its first anime adaptation by studio BONES in 2016. It received 5 more seasons in the following years, with the 6th one ending in March this year. Season 7 was officially confirmed immediately after. The franchise also has 3 movies released so far: Two Heroes (2018), Heroes: Rising (2019) and World Heroes’ Mission (2021). Crunchyroll is streaming the series, and they describe the story:
Izuku has dreamt of being a hero all his life—a lofty goal for anyone, but especially challenging for a kid with no superpowers. That’s right, in a world where eighty percent of the population has some kind of super-powered “quirk,” Izuku was unlucky enough to be born completely normal. But that’s not enough to stop him from enrolling in one of the world’s most prestigious hero academies.

Meanwhile, the NBA is almost done with the regular season, with about 16 games left to play for each team. The NBA playoffs begin on April 20, and the defending champions are the Denver Nuggets.
