What Is Solo Leveling: KARMA?
“Solo Leveling: KARMA will be available on both mobile and PC platforms and expands upon the universe of the global hit Solo Leveling anime series. The game introduces an original storyline set in the Dimensional Gap—an unexplored narrative window within the source material—where protagonist Sung Jinwoo endures a 27-year-long war among Monarchs. At the heart of this epic is the ‘Broken Cup of Reincarnation,’ an artifact that can only be restored through Jinwoo’s fragmented memories.
In the newly revealed teaser, fans can catch a glimpse of Jinwoo’s dazzling combat using an arsenal of weapons such as daggers, scythes and bows, as he battles against formidable Magic Beasts, featuring The Gatekeeper of Hell Cerberus, Hobgoblin Leader, Avaricious Vulcan, The Demonic King Baran, and the Godlike Statue of Cartenon Temple—all taken from the original series.
The narrative deepens as original characters including Jinwoo rise to the main story stage, enhancing immersion through cinematic storytelling and dramatic stakes. Featuring isometric-view hack-and-slash combat, Solo Leveling: KARMA delivers thrilling, responsive gameplay characterized by heavy-hitting action, strategic ‘Blessing’ upgrades that buff skill levels and stats, and growth-driven mechanics. Players can summon iconic Shadows like Iron and Igris and perform signature combo skills that echo the unique combat style of Solo Leveling.
Solo Leveling: KARMA aims to captivate both gamers and anime fans alike, offering easy accessibility with deeply differentiated gameplay within the roguelite genre.“

Just from that, we know that the game will explore an original storyline from the Dimensional Gap. Otherwise known as the Dimensional Crack or Rift, this space has a different flow of time than the normal world. We won’t spoil the original story, but Jinwoo engages in intense battles within this space for 27 years, while only two years passed in the real world. For a tl;dr of the above paragraph and more, here’s a breakdown below.

What Platforms Will Solo Leveling: KARMA Be Available On?
- Mobile (iOS, Android), PC
What Type of Game Is Solo Leveling: KARMA?
- RPG: strategic ‘Blessing’ upgrades in Solo Leveling: KARMA will buff skill levels and stats, while players can summon Shadows for signature combo skills.
- Roguelite: characterized by games like Rogue (1980), where the game forces the player to complete it in one run, and a loss results in a full restart, where all progress is lost. The term “lite” comes from the fact that while players do have to return to the beginning, they are allowed to keep some development, such as weapons or armor. Solo Leveling: KARMA has confirmed “growth-driven mechanics.“
- Given the permitted character development and the gacha elements in the recent Solo Leveling: Arise game, some fans suspect that Solo Leveling: KARMA will also incorporate gacha elements.
Who Is Producing Solo Leveling: KARMA?
- Like Solo Leveling: ARISE, Netmarble and its game development subsidiary, Netmarble Neo, are developing the game. This was also evident in Jinwoo’s similar design in both games. You can get a behind-the-scenes look at Solo Leveling: Arise’s design here in our interview with the game’s lead developer at Netmarble, Seong Keon-Jin.
- However, unlike Solo Leveling: Arise, KARMA‘s copyright also credits ‘Solo Leveling Animation Partners,’ which is the production committee behind the anime series and comprises Aniplex, Netmarble, D&C Media, Kakao Piccoma, and Crunchyroll.
- This is significant since it was just Netmarble & Netmable Neo and ‘DUBU(REDICE STUDIO), Chugong, h-goon 2018 / D&C MEDIA’ who held the rights for Solo Leveling: Arise. The game was a massive moneymaker for Netmarble, generating $70 million in sales in just one month (Korea Economic Daily). Hyundai Motor Securities has estimated annual revenues of 500-600 billion won or $363–436 billion (via EBN). Solo Leveling‘s increased global renown could lead to massive returns for the anime production committee come KARMA‘s release.

When Will Solo Leveling: KARMA Be Released?
- There’s no confirmed release date for Solo Leveling: KARMA. All we know is that it’s “Coming Soon.” Given the involvement of the anime’s production committee, development may be synchronized with any future release of Solo Leveling Season 3, which hasn’t been confirmed, but is being strongly pushed by several production members.
- It should also be noted that Solo Leveling: KARMA was not listed in Netmarble’s most recent game release timeline (page 8), which covers all of 2025. Nevertheless, the latest timeline was published before KARMA‘s announcement. Netmarble will update this timeline in August at the latest.
- Netmarble tends to announce games years in advance (See: Solo Leveling: Arise’s Netmarble Releases Official Shangri-La Frontier Anime Game Trailer, where Netmarble’s upcoming Shangri-La Frontier game recently revealed a trailer 2 years after its first, but still has no release date.) Nevertheless, given the seemingly reused assets from Solo Leveling: Arise and the relatively simple nature of roguelites, it could be sooner rather than later.

Where To Get More Information About Solo Leveling: KARMA?
- While this article will be periodically updated, the Solo Leveling: KARMA official website and the new Solo Leveling: KARMA official X (formerly Twitter) account are good places to keep up to date.
What Is Solo Leveling: KARMA Covering From the Source Material?
- Solo Leveling: KARMA will have an original storyline that explores the Dimensional Gap that Jinwoo entered in the final arc of the series. We won’t spoil the build-up, but he enters the gap in Chapter 178 of the webtoon series.
What Languages Will Solo Leveling: KARMA Support?
- Solo Leveling: KARMA will support Japanese, English, and Korean, given their respective launch trailers. Supported languages also seem to include Chinese (Simplified, Traditional), Thai, Bahasa Indonesia, French, German, Italian, Spanish, Portuguese, and Russian, given the official website’s confirmed language support. These are identical to the supported languages in Solo Leveling: Arise.
Solo Leveling: KARMA is another example of how those involved with the series are extending the Solo Leveling universe. The anime’s staff previously noted the desire to focus more on the supporting characters. Meanwhile, Solo Leveling: Arise took this to another level, with original characters, stories, and even regular webtoon releases (See: Solo Leveling’s Multiverse Explored in Exciting New Cha Hae-In Backstory Webtoon for Arise Game).
With the final battle polarizing readers, in part due to a purported lack of exploration of Jinwoo’s time in the Dimensional Gap, this new game, and not to mention the multiversal (and completely broken) Cup of Reincarnation, opens new possibilities that may even trickle down to the anime and other media.
