Fantastics will be performing the opening theme for the Vampire Dormitory anime. The track, titled “Sugar Blood Kiss,” was announced with a special video released earlier.
Studio Blanc is animating the series under the direction of Nobuyoshi Nagayama. Meanwhile, Toko Machida is writing the scripts, and Naomi Tsuruta designing the characters. The cast lineup includes:
- Kana Ichinose as Mito Yamamoto
- Shunichi Toki as Ruka Saotome
- Yuichiro Umehara as Ren Nikaido
- Wataru Hatano as Komori
- Yusuke Shirai as Takara Kagurazaka
- Yuki Sakakihara as Juri
Vampire Dormitory is an ongoing fantasy-romance manga written and illustrated by Ema Toyama that has a total of 12 volumes published. It has been serialized since November 2018 in Kodansha’s Nakayoshi magazine and received an English print release in 2021 under Kodansha USA. The anime adaptation for this series was first announced in October 2023.
Kodansha USA describes the story as:
“I’ll do it! I’ll become your thrall!” A cross-dressing girl and an obsessive vampire find themselves entangled in a dangerous relationship. A heart-pounding BL-esque romance drama from the award-winning Ema Toyama (Missions of Love, Aoba-kun’s Confessions)! Mito, who has no family to rely on, lives on the streets, disguised as a boy. Ruka, a vampire, saves her from a perilous situation and makes her an offer: become his subservient thrall from which he can feed whenever he wants, and she can live with him—in the boys’ dorm. Because her very existence depends on her secret not being found out, every day is a new danger—to say nothing of that vampire!
