Free: The Final Stroke movie duology revealed a special visual. The 2-part movie was animated by Kyoto Animation and the second part titled The Final Stroke – Kouhen opened in Japanese theatres on April 22, 2022.
The first part of the movie was titled Zenpen and it premiered in September of last year. The Free anime franchise is loosely on High Speed, a light novel written by Kouji Ouji with Futoshi Nishiya’s illustrations. Futoshi Nishiya also did character designs for the original anime series and served as chief animation director, but he sadly died in the Kyoto Animation arson attack in 2019.

The movie part 2 of the movie recently revealed a trailer that features “The Ending Bue” theme song by OLDCODEX:
The first Free anime, Free- Iwatobi Swim Club, premiered in 2012, while the Eternal Summer sequel followed in 2014. Kyoto Animation and Animation Do animated the first two seasons. In addition, the franchise also has 4 movies and multiple DVD specials, as well as OVA series, with the most recent season, Free: Dive to the Future, that came out in 2018.
