Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End announced on Thursday that voice actor Takehito Koyasu will voice the brand-new character Kraft, who is an elf monk Frieren and her party meet in the upcoming episode. Kraft’s character design was also released.
Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End anime is based on the manga written by Kanehito Yamada and illustrated by Tsukasa Abe. Keiichiro Saito (Bocchi the Rock!) is directing the series at studio Madhouse (A Place Further Than The Universe) with Tomohiro Suzuki (One Punch Man) as the scriptwriter, Evan Call (Violet Evergarden) as the music composer, Reiko Nagasawa (takt op. Destiny) as the character designer, and Atsumi Tanezaki (Anya Forger in Spy x Family) as the voice of Frieren.

Takehito Koyasu is a voice actor who has been in the industry for more than 30 years. Some of his famous roles include Dio Brando from Jojo’s Bizzare Adventures, Toji Fushiguro in Jujutsu Kaisen, Shinsuke Takasugi in Gintama, Zeke in Attack on Titan, and Roswaal L. Mathers in Re:Zero -Starting Life in Another World-.
Crunchyroll is streaming the anime and they describe the plot as follows:
After the party of heroes defeated the Demon King, they restored peace to the land and returned to lives of solitude. Generations pass, and the elven mage Frieren comes face to face with humanity’s mortality. She takes on a new apprentice and promises to fulfill old friends’ dying wishes. Can an elven mind make peace with the nature of life and death? Frieren embarks on her quest to find out.
