Haikyu announced a new event called Haikyu FAN PARK, following information that the manga has exceeded 70 million circulating copies. The announcement was made at Jump Festa 2025, and Shueisha commented how “its popularity remains undiminished even after its conclusion.” The manga ended in 2020.
Haikyu FAN PARK will be held on June 7 and June 8, 2025, at the Makuhari Messe International Exhibition Hall in Chiba, Japan. It is meant to bring together all aspects of Haikyuu content beyond the manga and craete a space for fans to gather and enjoy. More details about the event will be revealed in the future, with Haruichi Furudate unveiling an illustration to follow its announcement.

Haruichi Furudate wrote and drew the Haikyu (stylized as Haikyu!!) manga, which was serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump from 2012 to 2020. The manga ended with 405 chapters, getting compiled into a total of 45 volumes. Viz Media licensed the manga in English.
Furudate also unveiled a special illustration at the franchise’s panel at Jump Festa:
- Hinata: “We’re counting on your support next year too!!”
- Kageyama: “Yes, please.”
- Kenma: “Hey, it’s December, you know. Don’t wander around in such light clothes.”
- Kageyama: “If you move around, you’ll get warm.”
- Hinata: “Kenma, let’s run together!!!!!”
- Kenma: “Grumble grumble…”
Production I.G was in charge of animating both the movie and the TV anime. The first season aired in 2014, followed by the second one which started in Fall 2015 and finished in Winter 2016. Season 3 ran for 10 episodes in Fall 2016, covering Karasuno vs Shiratorizawa match.
Season 4 was titled Haikyuu!! To the Top, and it ran for 25 episodes over two cours – Winter 2020 and Fall 2020. In addition to the TV anime and recent 2-part final movie, the franchise also has multiple recap movies, OVAs, side stories, stage plays and games.
The first part of its final movie, HAIKYU: The Dumpster Battle, began streaming on Netflix and Crunchyroll on October 31. You can also read our review.
