Blue Box revealed the preview images for Episode 14, along with the synopsis and staff working on it. The new episode will premiere worldwide on Netflix on January 9. Studio Telecom Animation Film is in charge of the animation, with the anime now in its second cour.

The synopsis for the episode is described: 
On the night before the second round of the Inter-High tournament, Chinatsu feels the pressure of facing last year’s runner-up team in a crucial match. However, she is encouraged by Nagisa, who helps her regain her confidence.

On the day of the match, as the start time approaches, Taiki finds himself alone in the usual gym, thinking deeply about Chinatsu. Just then, Hina, who hadn’t contacted him since the Inter-High began, suddenly appears…

Koji Miura writes and draws the manga for Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump magazine. The manga began serialization in April 2021 and has 18 published volumes as of December 4, 2025. The series follows the story between Taiki, a highschool badminton player, and his basketball-loving crush, Chinatsu. She started living together with him right from the start, and they are slowly making progress in their relationship as they both aim for success in their respective sports.

Blue Box was voted as the 4th Best Anime in our Fall 2024 Anime Awards. Hina was voted as the Fall 2024 Best Girl with Chinatsu in 3rd, while Taiki ranked 8th in the male counterpart ranking.

Hina’s voice actress, Akari Kito, also got the Best Female Seiyuu award, with both the opening and ending songs placing 3rd in their respective rankings.
