Honey Lemon Soda anime revealed a new visual and a January 8, 2025 release date, as well as trailer featuring the theme songs by &TEAM. Studio J.C. Staff is in charge of the animation.
The opening theme song is “Magic Hour,” while the ending theme song is “Wonderful World.” Both are performed by the boy band &TEAM and can be heard in the new trailer below.
The anime recently introduced additional voice cast members, all of whom can also be heard in the trailer. The known cast includes:
- Kana Ichinose as Uka Ishimori
- Kai Miura as Shogo Yano
- Rie Takahashi as Serina Kanno
- Miyari Nemoto as Ayumi Endo
- Shunichi Toki as Tomoya Takamine
- Taku Yashiro as Satoru Seto
The anime staff consists of Hiroshi Nishikiori as the director, Akiko Waba in charge of the series composition. Aimi Tanaka as the character designer, and Akira Kosemura as the music composer.
Mayu Murata writes and draws the Honey Lemon Soda manga, which has been serialized in Shueisha’s Ribon shojo manga magazine since December 2015. Yen Press licensed the manga in English. The series also inspired a live-action movie, which premiered in July 2021
The story follows Uka Ishimori, a girl who has forgotten how to smile or cry, or even interact with others in any way. However, she encounters Shogo Yano, a boy with lemon-colored hair, who slowly starts giving her hope that life can be better if she reaches out to others.
