A new visual and trailer have been revealed for the upcoming I Shall Survive Using Potions! anime. “Love is a potion” will be the ending theme and Harmoe will be performing it. Voice actress Nao Toyama is joining the cast of the series, which is set to premiere this October, as Celestine.
Studio Jumondou is animating the series with Nobuaki Nakanishi as director. Takayo Ikami is writing the scripts and Hiroaki Tsutsumi is composing the music. Chisato Kikunagha is doing the character designs based on the light novel with the same title written by FUNA. The series was initially serialized on the Shosetsuka ni Naro website in 2015. Kodansha later acquired the title in 2017 and began publishing it in print with illustrations by Sukima.
The cast includes Rin Kusumi as Kaoru, Tomoyo Takayanagi as Francette, Moeka Koizumi as Emile, Haruki Iwata as Bell, and Natsuki Kitagawa as Layette. The anime previously revealed a trailer that features the aforementioned cast members.
J-Novel Club licenses the series in English and they described the first volume as follows:
One day, the supervisor in charge of watching over Earth was taking care of a distortion, when they made a mistake that caused Kaoru Nagase to lose her physical body. Not only that, but reincarnating her into a different, less culturally-advanced world is the only thing they can offer to do for her. Not one to take this turn of events sitting down, Kaoru makes a demand: the power to create potions at any time she pleases, with whatever effect she wants it to have—and it doesn’t stop there either. She asks for a magical Item Box, the ability to understand and speak every language, and the same body she had back when she was a fifteen-year-old girl. Using her newfound powers, Kaoru has to try and make a stable life for herself in a whole new world!
