InoBato's "I Don't Understand" Scene Used In Latest Nissin Donbei Commercial

Seven years after the famous “I don’t understand” scene from the InoBato anime series aired, the scene itself has been transformed into the latest commercial for the Nissin Donbei lineup of ramen products.

InoBato x Nissin Donbei Commercial

In the commercial, the dialogue between the main protagonist Jurai Ando and Hatoko Kushikawa revolves around how Ando just sticks to the Kitsune Udon and Tempura Soda variants. Later on, Kushikawa goes on an impassioned and uninterrupted tirade about trying other variants such as the Kamodashi Soba, Curry Udon, and Niku Udon, as well as Demon Kakiage Udon and Karamen Udo.

The commercial is based on the famous scene from InoBato‘s seventh episode when Ando refuses to tell Kushikawa about his chuunibyou behavior. This then resulted in a two-minute long tirade from Kushikawa about Ando’s obsessions, saying she doesn’t understand them before storming off. Ando and Kushikawa are voiced by Nobuhiko Okamoto and Saori Hayami, who also reprise said roles in the commercial.
