The previously announced Jii-san Baa-san Wakagaeru anime has released its very first trailer, as well as details on the staff working on the series. It will begin airing in April next year.
Studio GEKKOU is animating it under the direction of Masayoshi Nishida. Yukie Sugawara is doing the series composition while Nagisa Takahashi is doing the character designs. Tomoki Hasegawa is composing the music. Details on the anime were first revealed in August this year, with a new key visual released earlier in November this year.
The Jii-san Baa-san Wakagaeru anime is based on a web manga series of the same name written and illustrated by Araido. It was first released on Twitter and Pixiv in October 2019, then at Nico Nico Manga in February 2020. At the moment, Kadokawa had published seven volumes of the manga, with the latest being released in August this year.
The manga is about an elderly couple named Shozo and Ine Saito, who suddenly find themselves returning to their young selves. It follows the young old couple’s daily lives and family time, and you can see them defying the expectations of the youngsters.
