Shonen Jump+‘s popular Kaiju No. 8 manga has passed 14 million copies in circulation as of June 20, 2024. The announcement was officially made via the official English X (formerly Twitter) account, accompanied by the cover reveal of Kaiju No. 8 Volume 13, featuring Haruichi Izumo holding a weapon with a rare serious expression.
The post was captioned: “Latest cover image is out! The endless No.9 disaster continues… One of the young talents, Haruichi Izumo makes the cover for the first time with his personal weapon! Exceeding 14 million copies, the latest vol.13 of #KaijuNo8 will be out on the 4th of July! Check it out!” Kaiju No. 8 previously broke the record for the fastest Jump+ manga to reach 1 million copies in circulation in 2021, and according to Mangazenkan, the series is now the 221st highest-selling manga of all time.
Also revealed on June 20 was the Kaiju No. 8 Special Exhibition’s official visual, drawn by manga creator Naoya Matsumoto. Attendees can purchase original goods such as acrylic figures, bags, artwork, and more.
