Kengan Ashura Season 2 Part 2 has revealed a new visual and trailer, along with an August 15 release date on Netflix. LARX Entertainment is animating, with Seiji Kishi as the director.
The new trailer features the opening theme song “FEEL MY PAIN” by HEY-SMITH.
The anime is based on the Kengan Ashura manga written by Yabako Sandrovich and illustrated by Daromeon. The manga ran from 2012 to 2018 in Shogakukan’s Ura Sunday magazine. A sequel Kengan Omega from the same author/artist duo started in 2019 and is still ongoing.
The first anime season was also produced by LARX Entertainment and streamed on Netflix over two 12-episode parts in 2019. It was directed by Seiji Kishi, with character designs by Kazuaki Morita. Makoto Uezu was in charge of the series composition, while Yasuharu Takanashi composed the music.
The first part of the second season was released in September 2023. It had a total of 12 episodes, and the sequel will feature the continuation and conclusion of the Kengan Life-or-Death Tournament.
Netflix is streaming the anime, and they describe the story:
Underground gladiator Tokita Ohma fights on behalf of business mogul Nogi Hideki, who wagers mega-business deals on the outcomes of the brutal matches.
Netflix is also streaming the BAKI HANMA VS KENGAN ASHURA crossover movie.
