Popular Japanese actor and voice actor Kenjiro Tsuda received the Entertainment Category award at the 53rd Best Dresser Awards in 2024. Tsuda attended the announcement and award ceremony held in Tokyo on November 27.

The Best Dresser Award is an annual award ceremony presented by the Japan Men’s Fashion Unity, recognizing individuals who exhibit exceptional fashion sense and influence in their respective fields. It was officially recognized in 1972, and the categories include:

  • Political and Economic
  • Science and Culture
  • Entertainment Industry
  • Sports Field
  • International Field
  • Special Awards

During the ceremony, Tsuda reflected on his career, sharing that his initial dream was to become a movie director. His uncertainty about storytelling led him to pursue acting after being accepted into a theater training program.

When asked about his aspirations as a movie director, Tsuda stated that he wants “to create a live-action feature movie,” for which he’s been writing and rewriting a plot for about ten years. He also said he has a desire to create “slightly dark but genuinely entertaining works” and that he dreams of having his movies screened in Europe.

Kenjiro Tsuda is one of the most iconic voice actors of today. Some of his notable roles include Kento Nanami from JUJUTSU KAISEN, Joker in Fire Force, Kishibe in Chainsaw Man, Overhaul in My Hero Academia, , Seto Kaiba in Yu-Gi-Oh, Hannes in Attack on Titan (Season 2 onwards), Tatsu in The Way of the Househusband, among many others.

Besides voice acting, Tsuda is also an accomplished actor, having participated in many movies and live-action dramas. He also made his directorial debut with the Documentertainment AD-LIVE (2019) documentary movie.
