My Dress-Up Darling Reveals ¥1.32 Million Life-Size Marin Kitagawa Figure

Written by Marko Jovanovic

A life-size figure of Marin Kitagawa from My Dress-Up Darling has been revealed, with pre-orders now open via the official Prime 1 Studio online store. The figure is priced at ¥1.32 million, including tax, which comes to about $8300 USD.

Standing at 164 cm tall, the 1/1 scale figure recreates Marin’s appearance from the anime with attention to details including her facial expression, long hair, proportions, and skin coloring. The description also describes that the fingertips feature glittered nail tips, while the left arm comes with two interchangeable parts allowing for either a peace sign or an open-hand pose.

The figure also uses fabric materials for Marin’s school uniform shirt, necktie, and skirt. Beneath the uniform is the swimsuit seen in Season 1 Episode 2, while her black and silver bracelets are also recreated as separate accessories.

The completed figure is expected to weigh approximately 36.33 kg and is scheduled for release around June 2028..

My Dress-Up Darling is a Japanese manga series written and drawn by Shinichi Fukuda, which ran from January 2018 until March 2025. Square Enix is publishing it in both Japanese and English.

The main staff for the first two seasons included Keisuke Shinohara as the director at studio CloverWorks, with series composition by Yoriko Tomita, character designs by Yusuke Yamamoto and Kazumasa Ishida, and music by Takeshi Nakatsuka. In our Winter 2022 Anime Awards, My Dress-Up Darling was voted as the Best New Anime, with both Marin and Gojo winning the titles of Best Girl and Best Boy of the season, respectively. Hina Suguta also won Best Female Seiyuu for her role as Marin.

The main voice cast includes:

  • Hina Suguta as Marin Kitagawa
  • Shoya Ishige as Wakana Gojo
  • Atsumi Tanezaki as Sajuna Inui
  • Hina Yomiya as Shinju Inui
  • Atsushi Ono as Kaoru Gojo

Crunchyroll is streaming the anime, describing the story:
Wakana Gojo is a high school boy who wants to become a kashirashi–a master craftsman who makes traditional Japanese Hina dolls. Though he’s gung-ho about the craft, he knows nothing about the latest trends, and has a hard time fitting in with his class. The popular kids–especially one girl, Marin Kitagawa–seem like they live in a completely different world. T
