Kanojo no Tomodachi’s production company has released a new visual and trailer for the upcoming erotic romance ahead of its October premiere. Studio Quad, known for their work on My Life as Inukai-san’s Dog and OreAku, will animate the Deregula (WWWave Corporation) adaptation. Takashi Ando will direct My Girlfriend’s Friend.

The anime’s production team had previously announced the voice cast for My Girlfriend’s Friend. Ryuga Nagaike will play Takeru Hidaka, Sayaka Hashi will play Kaori Koga, and Miki Hase will play Tomoko Yoshida.

My Girlfriend’s Friend follows the romantic exploits of Takeru Hidaka, a dude with aspirations of becoming a doctor. Yet, despite his dreams of helping others, Takeru never thought he was worthy of his crush Tomoko. So, he resigned himself and started dating his current girlfriend (and Tomoko’s friend) Kaori Koga. Yet despite Kaori’s love, Takeru knows that something is missing. So when his crush Tomoko starts making moves on him, how long can he remain faithful? Not only does he have to be mindful of Kaori’s feelings, but infidelity will also doom his chances of becoming a respected doctor. Yet, one’s heart and longing are not easily ignored.
