My Hero Academia x NBA Collaboration Announced

My Hero Academia is heading to the NBA in a massive fashion collaboration with TOHO Animation, Crunchyroll, NBALAB, and HYPERFLY! Fans of the series will soon see their favorite characters on gear for the following NBA teams: Boston Celtics, Chicago Bulls, Dallas Mavericks, Golden State Warriors, Los Angeles Lakers, Miami Heat, New York Knicks, Philadelphia 76ers, and Portland Trail Blazers. A new visual was revealed to commemorate the collaboration which you can view below:

A special listing of merchandise will be available for purchase during NBA Con between July 7 – July 9 in Las Vegas. An exclusive t-shirt featuring All Might will be available for purchase at NBA Con for the following teams: Bulls, Knicks, Lakers, Warriors.

Fans not able to attend NBA Con this year don’t have to worry as the retail launch of the merchandise will be available this fall during the upcoming NBA season. Items that will be available for purchase include shirts, hoodies, and jackets and will be listed on the Crunchyroll Store, HYPERFLY.com, NBAStore.com, and LIDS.com in the US and Canada. NBA Fans in Japan will be able to purchase the collab merch at NBAStore.jp.

My Hero Academia synopsis:
My Hero Academia is a Japanese anime series based on the popular comics by Kohei Horikoshi. It is set in a world where about eighty percent of the population has a superpowered Quirk. Heroes protect people and society from accidents, disasters, and villains—criminals who use their Quirks for evil. The story of Izuku Midoriya and his classmates at U.A. High School and their growth, fights, and friendship unfolds as they aim to become such heroes.

My Hero Academia is officially the first anime to collab with the NBA in its history.
