The upcoming NieR:Automata Ver1.1a anime revealed a trailer and a visual for Adam and Eve along with information of the cast members and their comments on Friday. Studio A-1 Pictures is animating the adaptation and the premiere date is set for January 2023. The project was announced in February 2022.
The voice actors for the characters in the game are reprising the roles; Daisuke Namikawa, known as the voice actor of Hisoka Marow in Hunter x Hunter (2011) and Toru Oikawa in Haikyu!!, is voicing Adam, while Tatsuhisa Suzuki, known for his roles as Ban in Seven Deadly Sins and Makoto Tachibana in Free!, is acting as Eve in the NieR:Automata anime adaptation.
Daisuke Namikawa (Adam):
I thought this in the game, but first of all, the visual is beautiful! He is a character with both gorgeousness and blandness. So I pay careful attention to strangeness and apprehension emerging from that. I’m glad if that leads to fear in a sense, too. I hope this mood that is hard to describe keeps going forever, but on the other hand, what would happen if it breaks? And would there be a time to come? It’s also scary in a sense… Look forward to it.
Tatsuhisa Suzuki (Eve):
Eve’s sense of feeling was distinguishing and interesting, so the role left a great impression on me when I joined the game. I’m glad to deliver Eve to you in the new style as the anime adaptation after time has passed, and above all, I am being filled pleasure of playing Eve again, I stand in front of the mic. Feeling the differences in the game, I put effort into the role every time with the thought of delivering him to you with a better understanding of his uniqueness. I’d appreciate it if you love both of the brothers together again!
“I’ll play with you when I get back,” Adam goes, “Really? Promise?” Eve asks. The newly-posted trailer is available on Aniplex’s YouTube channel below:
The game plot is described as:
