The upcoming Ningen Fushin: Adventurers Who Don’t Believe in Humanity Will Save the World anime released preview images for episode 1 along with its synopsis. Studio GEEKTOYS is animating the adaptation, which will begin to air on January 10, 2023.
In the first episode, adventurer Nick finds himself deeply disappointed following events that got him kicked out of the party he had belonged to for a long time. He was also dumped by his girlfriend. He drops by a pub, shares a table with other customers, and ends up meeting a group that has gone through hardships as well. They decide to team up and now these people who have lost faith in humanity raise the curtain on an amazing new story.
Shinta Fuji has been writing the story that the anime is based on Shosetsuka ni Naro since January 2019. KADOKAWA’s label MF Books picked up the series and has been publishing it with art by Susumu Kuroi. The latest, third volume was released in August 2021. A manga adaptation by Masaki Kawakami is currently ongoing on the ComicWalker manga service and released the fifth volume in April 2022.
Yen Press licensed both for English releases under the title Apparently, Disillusioned Adventurers Will Save the World and describes the plot of light novel volume 1 as:
Nick used to be a member of a veteran adventurer party, helping his undisciplined friends with the accounts whenever he could. But what was his reward? Getting accused of embezzlement and kicked out by the leader he respected. Before long, he finds a few other jaded adventurers and kindred spirits, and together, they form their own unstoppable party!
