Noragami anime is celebrating its 10th anniversary this year with a new project, and they have begun a countdown to Yato Day, celebrated on August 10 as the birthday of the protagonist. The first commemorative message came 4 days ahead on August 6, with an illustration from the anime’s director Kotaro Tamura. The illustration features Yato, Hiyori and Yukine, all of whom have something to say.
Hiyori’s text says “Ohhh,” Yukine’s says “Embarrassed,” while Yato’s says “Here, have a commemorative T-shirt♡” The main message comes from the director himself:

The second countdown was released on August 7, 3 days ahead of the celebration. The new post is a congratulatory message from Maaya Uchida, Hiyori Iki’s voice actress. The message reads:

Congratulations on the 10th anniversary of the Noragami TV anime!! I have cried, laughed, and grown a lot with Hiyori! I will always love Noragami!

The 10th anniversary celebration will consist of 7 projects, of which 3 have been revealed so far. The first one was the anniversary visual by Toshihiro Kawamoto. The second one was the announcement of a memorial Blu-ray box, while the third one was free distribution of the first season on YouTube in Japan.
Noragami: Stray God is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Adachitoka. It was serialized in Kodansha’s Monthly Shonen Magazine from December 2010 to January 2024, concluding with a total of 109 chapters compiled into 17 volumes. There are also 3 ‘extra’ volumes published as Noragami: Stray Stories, featuring a collection of short side stories. Kodansha USA licensed the manga in English.
The anime adaptation by BONES aired its first season January to March 2014. It has a total of 12 episodes, while the 13-episode second season, titled Noragami Aragoto, aired from October to December 2015. Crunchyroll is streaming the anime, describing the story:
Yato may just be a minor god now, but he’s determined to make it big and he’s got a plan. Unfortunately, things just don’t seem to be going his way. He doesn’t have a single shrine dedicated to him, his partner has just quit, and now he’s got to find a new divine weapon. Just when things look bleak, he meets a girl named Hiyori and changes her life forever.
