The Okinawa de Suki ni Natta Ko ga Hogen Sugite Tsurasugiru anime adaptation is based on a manga series written and illustrated by Egumi Sora. The manga began serialization on Shinchosha’s Kurage Bunch website in January 2020. The romantic comedy story follows Teruaki Nakamura as he transfers from Tokyo to Okinawa. He finds a girl that he likes, Hina Kyan, but he has a hard time understanding her Okinawan dialect. Kana Higa, who is Hina’s friend and secretly has a crush on Teruaki, helps him by translating the dialect for him.
