The upcoming TV anime adaptation for Daiki Kobayashi’s Ragna Crimson has revealed a new trailer featuring characters Grymwelte and Ultimatia, and confirmed a September 30, 2023 premiere date. Studio SILVER LINK is in charge of the animation, directed by Ken Takahashi.
The new character trailer introduces cast members Takehito Koyasu and Reina Ueda to their roles as Grymwelte and Ultimatia respectively. The trailer was shown at AnimeJapan in March and shows off dragon hunter Ragna (voiced by Chiaki Kobayashi) and his partner Crimson (voiced by Ayumu Murase) on their quest to destroy the overwhelmingly powerful monsters.
The previously released trailer and key visual introduced the main cast and crew, with protagonist Ragna voiced by Chiaki Kobayashi and Nobutoshi Canna as his future self, with Ayumu Murase voicing Crimson. Inori Minase will voice Leonica, Shunsuke Takeuchi will voice Disas Trois, while Shioya Kozo is set to voice Temruogtaf and Yoshihito Sasaki will voice Michael.

Ragna Crimson is based on the 2017 dark fantasy manga, which is written and illustrated by Daiki Kobayashi. It has been serialized in Square Enix’s Monthly Gangan Joker since March 2017, while Square Enix Manga & Books license it in English. They describe the story:
Dragon hunters: warriors armed with special silver weapons who kill their prey for bounty. Lowest among their ranks is Ragna, who forms an improbable partnership with the young genius Leonica, a master dragon slayer with more kills to her name than almost any other. All Ragna wants is to stay by Leonica’s side, but his dream is shattered by an attack from the deadliest dragon imaginable…
