ONE PIECE DAY ’26 concluded on August 23 at Makuhari Messe in Japan, with the fifth edition of the annual event featuring announcements and updates for the manga, anime, games, live-action series, merchandise, attractions, and music. You can also check last year’s event recap.

Held on August 22 and 23, the event also marked the ONE PIECE manga surpassing 600 million copies in cumulative worldwide circulation. Programs included the WORLD TOP 100 results, an Elbaph Arc voice cast stage, the ONE PIECE CARD GAME Special Panel, the eighth ONE PIECE Knowledge King Finals, three ONE PIECE NEWS segments, and a closing live performance.

The second WORLD TOP 100 global character popularity poll received 13,086,239 points for the 1,567 eligible characters. Monkey D. Luffy ranked first, followed by Roronoa Zoro and Sanji. Eiichiro Oda will create new “Special Outfit” illustrations for the Top 30 characters, with Luffy’s design previewed during the event. The designs are also planned for use in the anime, ONE PIECE CARD GAME, and merchandise.

The Elbaph Arc Special Voice Cast Panel brought together members of the Straw Hat cast and voice actors for characters appearing in the current storyline. In addition to live performances of previously aired scenes, the cast performed an upcoming scene involving Shanks and Saint Shamrock. Shanks’ Japanese voice actor Shuichi Ikeda appeared as a surprise guest alongside Shamrock’s voice actor Kenjiro Tsuda. An “Another Voices” segment also had cast members discuss other ONE PIECE characters they have voiced over the course of the anime.

Netflix’s ONE PIECE: THE BATTLE OF ALABASTA (Season 3) also revealed four cast additions. Emilio Sakraya will play Koza, Omid Abtahi will portray Toto, Jamie Ward will play Pell, and Nabeel Khan will play Chaka. Production on the third season already wrapped in Cape Town, South Africa, ahead of its global Netflix premiere in 2027.

Several game announcements followed throughout the event. ONE PIECE Treasure Cruise launched its “Cursed Prince Loki Super Sugo-Fest,” featuring Loki, Gaban, and Luffy & Zoro. A samurai version of Vivi based on the “Dream Illustration” series from ONE PIECE Magazine was also added to the game.

ONE PIECE Bounty Rush showcased Jewelry Bonney as a new playable character, with her abilities incorporating a future form resembling Luffy’s Gear 5. The fourth Bounty Rush Championship was also announced for September 6, with all matches scheduled to be streamed on YouTube.

ONE PIECE: Grand Gourmet game was also showcased, featuring the previously revealed trailer for the upcoming restaurant management game. It launches for Nintendo Switch 2 and Nintendo Switch on October 22, 2026, followed by Steam and mobile on October 23. A special edition was also detailed with physical bonuses, while a limited package bonus includes 100 original character stickers.

Bandai Namco also announced ONE PIECE PIRATES CRISIS, a full-body cooperative battle attraction in which participants face Buggy, Big Mom, and Kaido through physical activities synchronized with on-screen encounters. It begins operation at Tondemi Heiwajima in Tokyo on October 9.

A medal-pusher arcade game titled ONE PIECE: The Phantom Secret Stone and the Gears of Fate was showcased as well. The game features anime footage and newly recorded character voices and is scheduled to appear at the Amusement Expo in November.

A ONE PIECE campaign will run at Namco amusement facilities and Namco Online Crane from November 20, 2026 through January 11, 2027. Its planned prizes include the first Loki prize item.

Figures and other collectibles received their own portion of the program. The Mugiwara Store’s upcoming 14th anniversary was also marked with a new “Favorites!!” commemorative visual and a World Collectable Figure collection. The anniversary figures are scheduled to be sold individually at Mugiwara Stores beginning around early January 2027.

The ONE PIECE DAY ’26 Special Live featured Hiroshi Kitadani, Maki Otsuki, AiNA THE END, and 36km/h. Kitadani performed “UUUUUS!” and “Jungle P,” while 36km/h performed the Elbaph Arc ending theme “Future” and “Hello,” previously used as the special ending theme for the 2021 voice comic adaptation of Eiichiro Oda’s MONSTERS.

AiNA THE END performed “Luminous,” “Blue Shining Star,” and “Treasure,” while Maki Otsuki performed “Never Was Alone in This World” and “memories.” The concert concluded with the artists joined by members of the voice cast and costumed characters for a performance of “We Are!”

The final major announcement of ONE PIECE DAY ’26 was the confirmation of two new theatrical anime films. ONE PIECE FILM GOD VALLEY is scheduled for Summer 2027, followed by ONE PIECE FILM BAAD in 2029.

With the two-day event concluded, the franchise is looking busier than ever all the way up until 2029, including the ongoing manga, the anime’s Elbaph Arc, Netflix’s upcoming WIT STUDIO remake and Season 3 live-action, new games and attractions, and the franchise’s next two theatrical films.
