Just in time for the upcoming third season, Crunchyroll has announced a Re:ZERO -Starting Life in Another World- Blu-ray release for the second season of the anime, which will include a limited edition. Available on September 19, both the standard and limited editions will include promo videos and textless versions of the songs.
The limited edition contains an 88-page Art Book, 8 Art Cards, and 4 Vinyl Stickers, all in an alternate slipcover that features Subaru and Emilia in cheerful poses.
Crunchyroll streams Re:ZERO outside of Japan, and describes the series as:
Natsuki Subaru, an ordinary high school student, is on his way home from the convenience store when he finds himself transported to another world. As he’s lost and confused in a new world where he doesn’t even know left from right, the only person to reach out to him was a beautiful girl with silver hair. Determined to repay her somehow for saving him from his own despair, Subaru agrees to help the girl find something she’s looking for…
A third season of the dark fantasy isekai was announced on March 25 with a teaser trailer that you can watch below.
Re:ZERO -Starting Life in Another World- is based on a light novel series by Tappei Nagatsuki, illustrated by Shin’ichiro Otsuka. It began in January 2014 and is still ongoing, with a total of 33 published volumes and 5 side stories. The series is licensed by Yen Press in English, with a total of 21 volumes and all 5 side stories available in English.
