The ongoing Rinkai anime series announced three additional cast members just before the airing of episode 2 on April 16. The additional cast members include Yukari Anzai as Chigiri Toyohashi, Miho Morisaki as Suzu Matsusaka, and Yuka Ozaki as Sora Iwakitaira.
TMS Entertainment and Studio 6 are animating the series. Takaaki Ishiyama is the series director with Hideki Shirane handling series composition. Hiromi Ono is in charge of character design and Shuichiro Fukuhiro, Yoshihei Ueda, and Mana Hirano are composing the music. The theme songs include “Windshifter” by Rico Sasaki as the opening theme and “Override!” which will be performed by the whole main cast as the ending theme. The cast includes:

The anime is based on the Rinkai! mixed media project about women’s keirin cycling created by Mixi. A manga titled Rinkai! Azalea by Kiyoshi Yamane launched on Amazia’s Manga Bang! service on April 9th.
The Rinkai! anime series follows the story of Izumi Ito, a high school girl who loves cycling. After she witnesses a race in which the best female bicycle racers compete against each other, she vows to become a bicycle racer with her friends. And while she has that drive, she learns that the cycling world is brutally honest and harsh. There, she meets her destined rival – the genius Nana Hiratsuka.
