Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump Issue 43 announced that the popular SAKAMOTO DAYS will receive a live-action adaptation. The series was the front cover of the new magazine issue, as seen in an image of Taro Sakamoto (slim form) and a message reading, “Finally, a live action movie adaptation! More details will be revealed on September 23 (Japan time). Toho will distribute the SAKAMOTO DAYS live-action film during the 2026 Golden Week (April 29 to May 5). It adapts Yuto Suzuki’s best-selling manga of the same name, with over 15 million copies in circulation. Netflix streams the SAKAMOTO DAYS anime series (animation production by TMS Entertainment). It’s officially described:
