On the official Twitter accounts of studios TROYCA and DMM pictures, they announced a new original anime Shinobi no Ittoki for a 2022 release. There aren’t many details besides the release year and that the two studios will collaborate on the production, though they did also launch a website to go with the teaser visual. DMM pictures is a subsidiary of DMM, which has been involved in the production of some popular anime. Some of them were Fire Force season 1 and season 2, Rent-A-Girlfriend, Remake our Life!, Tsukimichi -Moonlit Fantasy- among others. Meanwhile, studio TROYCA was founded in 2013 by Toshiyuki Nagano (the studio’s current president), photography director Tomonobu Kato and anime director Ei Aoki. Some of the shows TROYCA animated were Aldnoah.Zero (co-produced with A-1 Pictures), Re:CREATORS, Idolish7 and Bloom Into You.
So far, we can only tell that Shinobi no Ittoki will likely have a female ninja as a protagonist, and we’ll wait for further updates from TROYCA and DMM pictures.
