The Apothecary Diaries Reveals Blu-Ray Volume 4 Illustration

The Apothecary Diaries anime revealed the exclusive illustration for Volume 4 of Blu-ray, which is set to release on July 17, 2024. The illustration, drawn by character designer Yukiko Nakatani, features Maomao performing her send-off dance with Fengxian and Lakan in the background. The Apothecary Diaries Blu-ray Volume 4 details are as follows:

The Apothecary Diaries Blu-ray Volume 4 also includes the cast’s special audio commentary for episodes 23 and 24. The video bonus includes the mini-animated series (episodes 13 to 24), special character trailers, and the second season’s teaser video. The third Blu-ray volume was released on May 22.

The Apothecary Diaries (Kusuriya no Hitorigoto) anime is based on a Japanese light novel series written by Natsu Hyuga and illustrated by Toko Shino. Shunfunotomo’s Hero Bunko currently publishes the light novel series, J-Novel Club publishes the digital English versions, and Square Enix publishes the novels in print.

The series has two manga adaptations: the first by Minoji Kurata on Shogakukan’s Monthly Sunday Gene-X; and the second by Itsuki Nanao and Nekokurage on Square Enix’s Monthly Big Gangan. TOHO Animation and OML animated The Apothecary Diaries series, which had a total of 24 episodes. Crunchyroll describes the plot:

Maomao lived a peaceful life with her apothecary father. Until one day, she’s sold as a lowly servant to the emperor’s palace. But she wasn’t meant for a compliant life among royalty. So when imperial heirs fall ill, she decides to step in and find a cure! This catches the eye of Jinshi, a handsome palace official who promotes her. Now, she’s making a name for herself solving medical mysteries!
