The Magical Girl and the Evil Lieutenant Used to Be Archenemies anime is based on a manga series written and illustrated by Cocoa Fujiwara. Square Enix’s Monthly Gangan Joker serialized the four-panel series from September 2013 to March 2015. The series ended following Fujiwara’s death in 2015, with the final volume being released posthumously in March 2016. Yen Press has licensed the manga in English, with the first release scheduled for August 2024.
