The Seven Deadly Sins: Four Knights of the Apocalypse Season 2 Announced

The Seven Deadly Sins: Four Knights of the Apocalypse is officially getting a season 2 TV anime. The announcement was made a at the Anime Japan 2024 event, and the sequel is scheduled to premiere in October 2024. The anime is currently airing its second cour in Japan – with only the first one streaming on Netflix for now. Telecom Animation Film is in charge of the animation, with Maki Kodaira as the director.

The Seven Deadly Sins: Four Knights of the Apocalypse – Season 2 Anime Announcement

Four Knights of the Apocalypse is the sequel to Nakaba Suzuki’s The Seven Deadly Sins series. The manga began serialization in 2021, right after the original series ended. Kodansha licensed the manga in English, and they describe the story:
In the world of The Seven Deadly Sins: Four Knights of the Apocalypse, Percival has always lived with his grandfather on the idyllic, remote God’s Finger. And though Percival loves the simple life, he longs for adventure. That is, until adventure comes knocking at his door, tearing away everything he’s ever known and leaving him alone in the world. Now Percival has no choice but to go out into the world and see what it holds…after all, it’s his destiny!

The original The Seven Deadly Sins manga also has an anime adaptation with 4 TV anime seasons and 2 movies. The first 2 seasons and the Prisoners of the Sky movie were animated by A-1 Pictures. Studio DEEN took over for seasons 3 and 4, and they also animated the Cursed by Light movie. There is an original two-part CGI movie on Netflix titled The Seven Deadly Sins: Grudge of Edinburgh. The second part came out on August 8. The story is set between the original anime and the upcoming sequel and features several relevant characters such as Tristan and Lancelot.
