Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End released a Frieren: Journey’s memory special video on Saturday. The special video contains significant events that occurred in the first season and features most of the cast. The anime recently concluded with a message “The Journey to Ende Continues” at the end of the final episode. There have been no announcements for a season 2.
Studio Madhouse (A Place Further Than The Universe) animated the first season with Keiichiro Saito (Bocchi the Rock!) as the director. Tomohiro Suzuki (One Punch Man) wrote the script, Evan Call (Violet Evergarden) composed the music, and Reiko Nagasawa (takt op. Destiny) designed the characters. Atsumi Tanezaki voices the titular character Frieren, while Kana Ichinose and Chiaki Kobayashi play the roles of Fern and Stark respectively. The anime’s first season started on 29 September 2023 and returned with its second-cour on 5 January 2024.

After the party of heroes defeated the Demon King, they restored peace to the land and returned to lives of solitude. Generations pass, and the elven mage Frieren comes face to face with humanity’s mortality. She takes on a new apprentice and promises to fulfill old friends’ dying wishes. Can an elven mind make peace with the nature of life and death? Frieren embarks on her quest to find out.
