Übel Blatt anime has revealed the third trailer, along with a new key visual and 6 voice cast members. Studios SATELIGHT and Staple Entertainment are animating, with the anime streaming exclusively on Amazon Prime from January 11, 2025.
The new trailer features the opening theme song “#1 (Zainin)” by GARNiDELiA.
The new voice cast members are:
- Kazuhiko Inoue as Marquis Glenn
- Kenichiro Matsuda as Geranpen
- Kosuke Toriumi as Fargo
- Ryota Suzuki as Rangzatz
- Taiten Kusunoki as Landgrave Schtemwölech
- Naoya Uchida as Batterygrave Barestar
Yuya Hirose was previously announced to be voicing the protagonist Köinzell, with Hina Tachibana as Peepi. Hina Tachibana will also perform the ending theme song.
Prior to the streaming premiere, a global screening event for the anime took place on November 29
at the Anime Festival Asia Singapore 2024, followed by the Anime x Game Festival 2024 in South Korea on December 6 and December 7. It had its Japan Premiere in Tokyo today, December 15.
Takashi Naoya is directing the anime, with Kiyoshi Tateishi as the character designer and Tatsuya Takahashi in charge of the series composition. The full staff for the Übel Blatt anime includes:

Etoroji Shiono writes and draws the Übel Blatt manga, which has been serialized by Square Enix since 2004. Manga UP! is publishing it in English.
The story follows Köinzell, a mysterious young boy who carries a black sword. Before changing his name, he was called Ascheriit, and he was betrayed by the Seven Heroes and labeled as the Traitorous Lances along with several others. Köinzell managed to survive by consuming fairy flesh, and he is now on his of quest of revenge against the Seven Heroes 20 years later.
