Ya Boy Kongming (Paripi Koumei) live-action movie revealed a new visual and trailer, along with announcing that the boy group &TEAM members will be appearing as themselves. In the movie, &TEAM will play a “crucial role.” They will participate in the Music Battle Awards 2025, a festival where Japan’s three top music labels compete for dominance.
The new trailer features narration by Osamu Mukai, who plays Zhuge Kongming, as well as a look at &TEAM’s live performance scenes.
The movie is directed by Shuhei Shibue, with screenplay by Nemoto Nonji. Besides Osamu Mukai, the cast also includes Moka Kamishiraishi, Fuju Kamio, Utaha, Dean Fujioka, and Mirai Moriyama. You can see the new visual below.
Paripi Koumei (Ya Boy Kongming) is a manga series written by Yuto Yotsuba and illustrated by Ryo Ogawa, serialized in Young Magazine since 2019. The story follows Zhuge Kongming, a historical tactician who gets reincarnated in modern Japan, where he then applies his strategic skills to the music industry. The series was adapted into an anime in 2022 by P.A. Works and a live-action drama in 2023.
