Voice actresses Yumi Uchiyama and M・A・O joined the cast of the upcoming In the Heart of Kunoichi Tsubaki anime. The duo will play teachers Hana and Konoha respectively. New cast announcements for the anime started yesterday and the anime’s official Twitter account announced that they will have a total of 35 new additons, with a new one being revealed each day. The anime is set to air in April.
Studio CloverWorks is animating the series, under Takudai Kakuchi. Yosuke Okuda is doing character designs, while Yusure Shirato will compose the music. The main cast was previously announced and includes:
- Yuko Natsuyoshi as Tsubaki
- Miyari Nemoto as Sazanaka
- Sayumi Suzushiro as Asagao

The isolationist all-girls Akane Clan mainly consists of young kunoichi in training. Their teachings are strict and there is one rule they all must follow: Interacting with men is forbidden, as they are dangerous creatures. However, a trainee Kunoichi Tsubaki suddenly starts feeling strange… It’s like her heart flickers whenever the subject of boys comes up.
