The Yuzuki-san Chi no Yon Kyodai anime has revealed an October 5 premiere date. Information on additional cast members has been released as well. Studio Shuka (Durarara!! Season 2, 91 Days, The Case Files of Jeweler Richard) is animating the series. Watch the character trailers for Hayato and Mikoto Yuzuki:
The additional cast members include Misato Matsuoka as Uta Kirishima, Akari Tadano as Waka Kirishima, M.A.O as Saki Kirishima, Fumihiko Tachiki as Kojiro Kirishima, and Satsuki Kokubu as Yuma Nikaido. Previously announced cast members include the Yuzuki brothers: Ryota Iwazaki as Hayato, Kikunosuke Toya as Mikoto, Miyuki Sakurai as Minato, and Momoka Terasawa as Gakuto.
Mitsuri Hongo is directing the series, while Orie Tanaka will serve as the chief animation director and character designer.
The anime is based on a coming-of-age manga written and illustrated by Shizuki Fujisawa. It has been serialized in Shogakukan’s shojo manga magazine Betsucomi since August 2018 with fourteen tankobon volumes out as of this writing. The manga also won the 66th Shogakukan Manga Award in the shojo category in 2021.
The manga follows the story of the Yuzuki family, which consists of four brothers. After losing their parents, the siblings must find a way to navigate life by relying on one another. The story will center on the siblings’ journey in life, including their relationship with their local community and their school.
