One of recent ONE PIECE projects is a video collection of 5 short drama episodes titled “WE ARE ONE”. They feature both live-action and animation. The 1st episode was released on August 29, and it tells the story of 2 co-workers. They’re Wataru and Hamabe, and they don’t agree on anything, similarly to Zoro and Sanji from One Piece. After several minutes of the story, their relationship is at its worst. Then Wataru remembers they agreed on their love for One Piece, and starts reading a chapter. This is what leads to the animation part, and we get to see an epic scene of the Zoro and Sanji team-up back from episode 212 in the Davy Back Fight, in the modern animation style! You can watch the video below (animated part begins at 6:08):
Mika Ninagawa directed the video, starring Kengo Kora, Win Morisaki, Shuntaro Yanagi, and Kenichi Takito. The theme song “TWILIGHT” is performed by RADWIMPS. Nakai Kazuya (Zoro) and Hiroaki Hirata (Sanji) both reprise their roles voicing the characters. The short animated segment features their triumph over the Groggy Monsters trio. It was definitely another nostalgia strike after that Vivi chapter. Seeing Zoro and Sanji Davy Back Fight team-up in modern animation was pretty hype. If you’re a manga reader, this might make waiting for the next chapter even more exciting, considering what’s currently happening with this duo!
UPDATE: All the videos are now out, along with the full version of the TWILIGHT by RADWIMPS and special message from Eiichiro Oda to fans! Also watch the other 4 videos (titled by the animated segments):

- Law, Corazon and Doflamingo backstory
