Studio Pierrot previously produced the original TV anime adaptation of Tite Kubo’s BLEACH manga, which aired between October 2004 and March 2012 with a total of 366 episodes. VIZ Media licensed it in English, and they describe the story for BLEACHTYBW:

The peace is suddenly broken when warning sirens blare through the Soul Society. Residents there are disappearing without a trace and nobody knows who’s behind it, meanwhile, a dark shadow is also extending itself toward Ichigo and his friends in Karakura Town…

The BLEACH: Rebirth of Souls console game has also confirmed its release date for early 2025, and it revealed 13 trailers for the playable characters so far.

The franchise is also celebrating its 20th anniversary this year, with the latest project being the CALL YOUR NAME visuals featuring numerous important characters and captains of the Gotei 13.
