BLEACH: Thousand-Year Blood War (TYBW) Part 3 has confirmed a 1-hour special finale combining episodes 39 and 40. The final episodes had already been listed by Disney+ for a December 28 release, and the double-episode finale now confirms a total of 14 episodes for the cour.
Previously, both Part 1 and Part 2 had double-episode final episodes as well. Episode 38 is titled “FRIEND” and will introduce Marina Inoue and Chiaki Kobayashi as young Jugram Haschwalth and Bazz-B. A new trailer was also revealed.
PIERROT FILMS, the new brand of Pierrot’s second studio, is animating BLEACH: Thousand-Year Blood War. The anime has Hikaru Murata as the director, with Tomohisa Taguchi and Masaki Hiramatsu in charge of the series composition. Masashi Kudo is the character designer, and Shiro Sagisu is in charge of the music. Chief animation directors include Yukio Hasegawa, Sei Komatsubara, Masashi Kudo, and Kumiko Takayanagi.

Studio Pierrot previously produced the original TV anime adaptation of Tite Kubo’s BLEACH manga, which aired between October 2004 and March 2012 with a total of 366 episodes. VIZ Media licensed the manga in English, while the anime is streaming on Disney+ and Hulu.
BLEACH: Thousand-Year Blood War Part 3 -The Conflict- is the third of four parts of the new anime. It was voted the most anticipated Fall 2024 anime. It premiered on October 5, and the first two episodes both ranked first in our weekly ranking. It also topped the ranking in week 6, week 8, week 9, week 10 and week 11.
BLEACH: Rebirth of Souls game is coming on March 21, 2025, with the latest trailer featuring Sosuke Aizen.
