White Fox continues to deliver greatness, with episode 24 of Re:Zero Season 2 being more dialog focused than the last one. Ram is still alive, and Roswaal performs some healing magic as he seems to give up on life at the same time. Emilia comes up to him after meeting Shima and the other Ryuzu clones and the Sanctuary barrier going down. (That mother comment though!). She yells at him and tries to convince him not to give up, though he’s yet to come back to his senses.
As awesome as Emilia is, Beatrice was definitely the highlight of this episode. She was remembering how she ended up in the library, all the way to Subaru’s appearance. Him saying he’s not ‘that person’ hurt her, and she was ready to die in the fire. Subaru was stubborn though, and he was determined to talk her into being saved. After she kicked him out a few times, there was only a single door left, and he believed in Beatrice. He asked her to choose him, and talked about all her good sides. He knew that she wants to save people, and she knew it was unfair to ask her like that from the start. After a convincing talk from our boy, Beatrice finally left the library. (And called him by his name a bunch of times.)
Meanwhile Emilia is facing a bunch of the demon rabbits Subaru knows very well. Just as the situation seems hopeless, the newly formed duo makes their grand entrance. Subaru tells Emilia she can leave the rest to him, although he’s holding Beako’s hand and she’ll probably do most of it. Either way, the next episode will be the finale, and we can expect something epic!
