Wistoria: Wand and Sword manga officially announced a full-series reprint, marking another major milestone for the franchise. The announcement also confirms that total circulation has surpassed 3 million copies and continues to grow. The next manga volume is scheduled for release in April 2026, which is also when Season 2 of the TV anime is set to premiere.
Commenting on the manga news, the series’ light novel author Fujino Omori commented that the staff and cast working to deliver an even more impressive sequel anime.
Wistoria: Wand and Sword is a manga written by Fujino Omori (also the author of Danmachi) and illustrated by Toshi Aoi. It has been serialized in Kodansha’s Bessatsu Shonen Magazine since December 9, 2020, with 14 published volumes as of November 2025. Kodansha USA licensed it in English, while Crunchyroll is streaming the anime adaptation by studios Actas and Bandai Namco Pictures.
The story follows the ‘alent-less’ Will Serfort, a mage without magic attending a magic academy with the hope of becoming a Magia Vander, one of the world’s top mages. He needs to accomplish that to reunite with his prodigious childhood friend, Elfaria, and he has to face severe lack of respect from most of his fellow classmates. However, he is determined and slowly wins people over, showing that hard work and perseverance can get him far.
