Iruma-Kun Season 2 Episode 19: Chaos Personified

Iruma-kun season 2 episode 19 is the beginning of a slow wind-down. Last week‘s episode, ended the fantastic Walter-Park arc, so now our focus shifts. Iruma is still on Summer Break so now this time we get to spend our day in a sleepover.

This season has impressed me constantly throughout with some highly impressive animation, and superb voice acting. However, since the main story arc has finished I was curious as to how the show would keep my attention. Episode 19 was the proof that this show still has so much to offer.

So we have seen Clara and the absolute insanity that is her home in prior episodes. But this was the first time that Azz and Iruma get the ‘pleasure’ of staying over. However, from the get-go, they get to see abominations that walk around the forest.

So now that the boys begin to grasp what they have been walking into, they finally get to see Clara’s family in their natural habitat. Glorious as you would imagine, it plays out beautifully. Azz struggles to keep his composure, while Iruma simply acts like the best boy he is, playing along with everything.

Clara is already a lot to handle by herself, but add on her siblings and it is unbridled chaos. However, this was super enjoyable for me, because it was a perfect change of pace. We spent weeks with the Walter-Park saga, so this was the funny, mayhem that I wanted to break up the tone.

Also, It’s cute to see an episode focusing on the main trio of friends. Now I am a huge fan of the cast of this show, as everyone feels unique and likable. Though with the 1st season establishing such a great friendship between these 3, it was nice to see them interact among themselves. Clara has some really cute moments that remind me as to why she was one of my favorites.

So it looks like Season 2 will wind down with some much slower episodes, and I am fully on board. Watching the characters interact is such a massive part of what makes this show great, to begin with. The voice actors put in a lot of excellent work, so everything remains enjoyable to watch.
