Takuya Eguchi, the voice actor of Loid Forger in the Spy x Family anime, picked his best scene from episode 25, which marks the finale of the first season. The voice actor was also the one to pick in episode 12, the final episode of the first cour.
The official Twitter account of the anime and TOHO animation’s YouTube channel has been posting a video weekly that shows a member of the cast or staff picking the best scene from every episode along with their comments, and the new update is for the anime’s 25th episode, titled “First Contact.“
In the episode, the agent Loid Forger finally gets a chance to make contact with his mission’s target Donovan Desmond. Takuya Eguchi describes his best scene as “As though it almost broke the image of Desmond I have had so far, the moment in which he looks gentle made me feel rather scared.” In the video, the scene is followed by the announcement trailer for the anime’s second season and film at the end.

The WIT STUDIO and CloverWorks’ collaborative anime Spy x Family based on Tatsuya Endo’s Shonen Jump+ manga of the same name began in April 2022 and ended its first cour in June with 12 episodes, and the second cour aired from October to December of the year. The anime is receiving a second season and an original film adaptation. The manga surpassed 26.5 million circulating copies with the 10th volume’s release on October 4.
