The previously announced Level 1 Demon Lord and One Room Hero anime announced that it will begin airing this July, though there are no details on the exact premiere date. Animation studios Silver Link and Blade are animating the series.
Keisuke Inoue is directing the anime while Toshiya Oono is doing the series composition. Yoshihiro Watanabe is the character designer, and Toshiki Kameyama is the sound director on the work. The main cast for the anime includes:
- Yuichi Nakamura as Max
- Naomi Ozora as Demon Lord
- Yoshitsugu Matsuoka as Fred
- Hiro Shimono as Leo
- Ami Koshimizu as Yuria
- Yoko Hikasa as Zenia
Level 1 Demon Lord and One Room Hero anime is based on a manga series of the same name written and illustrated by toufu. It has been serialized in Houbunsha’s Comic Fuz website since March 2019. Seven Seas Entertainment licensed the manga in English, and they describe the story:
The Demon Lord has been defeated by a brave warrior, but is destined to arise again! Ten years later, he emerges early from his slumber to exact his revenge. However, he returns to find that neither the world nor the legendary hero are what they once were. Can the powers of darkness triumph over…a shut-in slob?
As part of the announcement, it was also revealed that the anime will be having its own web radio program. This will be distributed on the official KADOKAWA Anime Channel on YouTube.
