DRAGON BALL: Sparking ZERO has announced its first DLC, the “Hero of Justice” pack, which will introduce 11 new characters, 1 exclusive costume and 3 custom battles. The DLC is based on the Dragon Ball Super: SUPER HERO movie, and includes Gamma 1, Gamma 2, Piccolo (SH), Gohan (SH) and Cell Max. Early access will launch on January 20 at 15:00 PST / January 21 at 00:00 CET.

The game previously topped the pre-order charts for both Playstation and Steam ahead of its October 11, 2024 launch, hitting 3 million copies within the first 24 hours. The game is developed by Spike Chunsoft, who previously also worked on DRAGON BALL Z: BUDOKAI TENKAICHI. It is the first entry in the DRAGON BALL Z: BUDOKAI TENKAICHI series in 15 years, and released for the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC. It featured 182 playable characters at launch.
Dragon Ball Super: SUPER HERO hit theaters in August 2022, and it had a strong opening weekend in North America. In Japan, it earned around 670 million Japanese Yen (~4.93 million USD) during the two-day weekend opening, and 1.9 billion Japanese Yen (~14 million USD) in the first four weeks.
The new Dragon Ball anime, Dragon Ball DAIMA, also premiered on October 11 and is currently ongoing. It features an original story by the late creator of the franchise, Akira Toriyama.
