Beastars anime is getting a continuation of the anime series, the official Twitter account confirmed today. Additional information is expected to come at a later date.
The format isn’t known yet, but the announcement doesn’t mention season 3, but instead only talks about the continuation of the story. Paru Itagaki, the mangaka behind the Beastars series drew a special visual to commemorate the news:
Although the release date for the Beastars continuation isn’t available, we know that studio Orange is coming back to produce the anime. They also animated the first two. In addition to the series being CGI, Beastars is also a Netflix exclusive. The first season premiered in 2019, while the second one came out in 2021. The anime is a Netflix exclusive, with season 2 only recently becoming available worldwide.
Shinichi Matsumi directed both seasons, while Nao Ootsu did character designs. In addition, Nanami Higuchi wrote the screenplay, with Satoru Kousaki on music.

Beastars manga started serialization in 2016 in Weekly Shounen Champion. The manga ended in 2020, after 196 chapters. The Beastars universe also has a side-story titled Beast Complex, which focuses on different characters.
