Tatsuki Fujimoto’s Chainsaw Man manga released on Thursday a special trailer with the anime’s character voices to celebrate the series’ “big hit” of 2022. Studio MAPPA animated the anime adaptation, which ended with the 12th episode on Wednesday.
The newly-posted trailer features the characters’ quotable lines with scenes from the manga using the voices from the anime. Every quote comes with a reference to the numbers of the chapter and the page. At the end of the trailer is Reze, the new character teased with her voice actor (Reina Ueda) at the end of the final episode in the anime.

Tatsuki Fujimoto originally serialized the Chainsaw Man manga in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump from December 2018 to January 2021 with a total of 11 volumes. The series’ second part is being published on Shueisha’s online manga service Shonen Jump +. The series surpassed 16 million circulating copies with the 12th volume’s release on October 4. The anime adaptation by MAPPA was chosen as Anime Corner’s most anticipated Anime of Fall 2022 by fans, and the anime also won the Google Search Awards 2022 in the Anime category.
Viz Media licensed the manga for English releases and published all volumes. The official website describes the plot of the first volume as:
Denji’s a poor young man who’ll do anything for money, even hunting down devils with his pet devil Pochita. He’s a simple man with simple dreams, drowning under a mountain of debt. But his sad life gets turned upside down one day when he’s betrayed by someone he trusts. Now with the power of a devil inside him, Denji’s become a whole new man—Chainsaw Man!
