Dr. Stone: Science Future (Season 4) anime has revealed a January 2025 release date, along with the first ‘super teaser’ trailer. This was also confirmed to be the final season, and it will air over 3 cours. Shuhei Matsushuita will direct at TMS Entertainment. You can watch the teaser trailer below.
Written by Riichiro Inagaki and illustrated by Boichi, the Dr. STONE manga ended after 5 years of serialization on March 7, 2022. It has a total of 232 chapters, and you can read it on VIZ or MANGA Plus. The story follows a genius scientist, Senku Ishigami, as the he attempts to revive humanity after everyone gets mysteriously petrified. Having slowly achieved remarkable progress, their goal is now space, and it’s about time they learn the reason for the petrification and see if they can save everyone.
The first season of the Dr. Stone anime adaptation began airing in the Summer of 2019 anime season and had 24 episodes. The second season, Dr. Stone: Stone Wars, started in January 2021 and ran for 11 episodes. The series also received a special episode focusing on Ryusui in July 2022. The third, Stone: New World, ran for 23 episodes over 2 split cours in 2023. The fourth season was announced as the final one immediately after the finale of season 3.
Studio TMS Entertainment animated the first three seasons, with Crunchyroll streaming all of them. Netflix is also streaming seasons 1 and 2, while Crunchyroll also confirmed they will be streaming the final season.
