The mobile game Dragon Quest Walk has officially announced a collaboration with Dragon Ball. The crossover was revealed in a special video celebrating the game’s 5.5-year anniversary. More details about the in-game content will be disclosed in the upcoming Smart Walk broadcast on March 8.
Dragon Quest Walk x Dragon Ball Collaboration Confirmed
The collaboration features a newly released visual and trailer featuring elements from both franchises, including Shenron and a Slime equipped with Goku-themed items. This partnership brings together two legendary works closely associated with Akira Toriyama, the creator of Dragon Ball and the key character designer for the Dragon Quest series.

The Legacy of Dragon Ball
Dragon Ball, created by Akira Toriyama, was serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump from 1984 for over a decade, becoming one of Japan’s most iconic manga series. With over 260 million copies sold worldwide, it continues to remain relevant and serve as inspiration through anime, movies, and video games.
In 2013, the Dragon Ball movie series was revived after 17 years, followed by the launch of Dragon Ball Super in 2015. The latest movie, Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero, released in 2022 to huge success.
The latest TV anime installment was Dragon Ball DAIMA, which had an original story by Toriyama himself and canonized some new forms for Vegeta and Goku.
Another Tribute to Toriyama’s Influence
Akira Toriyama, whose influence on the world of manga and gaming is immeasurable, sadly passed away on March 1, 2024. Dragon Ball DAIMA was one of his last projects, and it aired its final episode on the anniversary of his passing.
The collaboration between Dragon Quest Walk and Dragon Ball will serve as yet another tribute to Toriyama’s legacy, and further details will be revealed in the coming days.
